We offer a comprhensive range of steel strings for the five string banjo, with a choice of phosphor bronze wound or nickel wound for the 3rd and 4th strings. A lot of players prefer a wound 3rd string for the big round bass tone it produces. However, many bluegrass banjoists prefer a plain steel 3rd and we include such sets. If you do not see a set with the exact string gauges you require, you can always go to our single string section and make up your own set. Alternatively email us at: cliffordessex@msn.com
